That’s what a love show is! This book has every trope that many of us fall in love with, like we’re Gollum wearing a ring trying to hold on to something that’s shiny and shiny in this crap world. My only criticism of the book is that it relies heavily on misunderstandings in the second half. However I loved this book so much it still doesn’t stop it from being a 5 star read for me. This is one of the most intimate, raw, true romances I’ve ever read. Abby Jimenez has an unparalleled talent for creating authentic characters who are easy to live with and befriend. It’s refreshing to read about a female lead who’s been emotionally traumatized and is struggling to open up, since it’s usually the male host who doesn’t want the relationship. Also, the description of the fear is very realistic and I feel the feeling from the description.
