This book held my attention throughout. I didn’t want to put it down. I wasn’t sure I would like it as it was so current compared to many of the books written by this author but I did!

This is the first novel I have read from this outstanding author. It was first published in 1976, but I would have never realized this as the tale is timeless. The book told an in-depth, complete story with well fleshed characters, great plot, and kept one guessing about plot and events as they unfolded to the very last page of this wonderful book. Today’s authors should take notice of the talent and thoroughness possessed by this author and follow suit. This was a true novel, not just 200 pages of fluff that many romance writers through out today.
Phyllis is an amazing wordsmith and story teller,,,I could not out this book down from the very first chapter to its’ completion. I understand she wrote over 30 books and will seek out more of this gifted woman’s words.
