Review: Silk: Summer’s Curse by Rubina George
I had the amazing opportunity to beta read this book, and it is by far one of the best stories I’ve ever read. I was so immersed in the story and the world of Silk. All the characters were enjoyable and I loved seeing their character development. The world building and story telling that Rubina did was remarkable.
Sebastian has become one of my all time favorite characters, I absolutely love the way that he was written and his growth and development that we observe. Summer is an amazing main character with such an interesting back story. We’re introduced to so many well written characters and I loved seeing Summer’s relationships and dynamic with them blossom.
There were so many unexpected twists in the story, it always kept me guessing. I went through so many emotions the first time I read the book, I cried, I laughed, and I even had to close my laptop to just sit in awe and shock from what I read. I never wanted to stop reading and the ending left me excited to read the next book when it comes out!
I truly believe that everyone will be able to find something to love about this story and I highly recommend reading it to everyone who loves dark fantasy.
Summer’s story was perfectly molded and being able to see all of her thoughts through the events of the story helped to move everything smoothly. The pace of the book is perfect. Excited to see what happens next in the series 🥰
This book was absolutely incredible from start to finish. There was always something happening and the writing style was just phenomenal. I was completely drawn into this book the entire time, not one moment of boredom.
The characters are so well written and their personalities shine. Not one of them felt bland. I adored Saul and Reuben! They were hilarious, strong characters. I honestly loved every single character. I don’t think I’ve ever felt like that towards a book before where I enjoyed every character.
The twists and turns in this book were done perfectly. You won’t see any of them coming. I was so shocked throughout a lot of the book.
Grammar and spelling has never been an issue for me because if a book is good I don’t care about that stuff. But others do so I want to put your mind at ease and let you know you won’t find any. At least I didn’t.
The naming of certain things and places were all unique and creative. There wasn’t a single one that I disliked.
I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to go on an incredible journey!
It’s fun, it’s serious, it’s mesmerising, it’s magical, it’s entrancing, it’s a really good read! You won’t regret picking this book up!
